The Parents Association would like to extend a warm welcome to you. We are so glad you are part of our school family!
What is the Parents Association? We are an organization of Westlake parents whose mission is:
“To enhance our children’s educational and spiritual development by connecting parents to foster a strong sense of Christian community, mobilizing parent volunteers, and shepherding parents towards leadership positions.”
By virtue of having a child at Westlake, you are a member of the Parents Association. We hope that you will participate to help make a difference in your child’s educational experience.
Sign up to Volunteer
The Parents Association hosts several events throughout the year, with the goal of building community among Westlake families. Please check the school calendar or view our volunteer sign-up page for more details about how to get involved. Sign-up information for each event will be sent via What’s Up @ Westlake.
Room Parents
The Parents Association coordinates Room Parents for grades preschool through 6th. These parents help to coordinate and communicate with parents regarding class parties, Teacher Appreciation Week, and any other PA events.
Room parents are assigned based on parent interest and the needs of the class. Parents who did not serve the previous year in a particular classroom will usually be given priority.
Parents who do not serve as Room Parents will have plenty of opportunities for involvement, including: attending/coordinating a party, chaperoning field trips, and purchasing supplies for parties.
If you are interested in serving as a Room Parent, please sign up by September 10th.
